Kärcher test every machine before it leaves the factory and perform lifetime tests on every thousandth machine to ensure that they will withstand many years of use, long beyond the guarantee period.
Alongside this stringent testing, Kärcher offer a manufacturing guarantee on all their Home & Garden range products. The key points of this manufacturers guarantee are summarised below:
- Your Kärcher Home & Garden range product is covered under guarantee by Kärcher (UK) Limited and is warranted to be free of defective parts and materials for a period of 24 months (36 months when purchased from Karcher Center JHS) from the date of purchase (or as otherwise stated at point of sale) providing the product is used for normal domestic duties. (For full list of guarantee periods by product, please see domestic machine list below).
- All guarantee periods commence on the date of purchase and are non-transferable.
- The guarantee is limited to the provision of repairs, free of charge within the specified period providing the above conditions are met and the original proof of purchase is provided. it does not cover any carriage costs to collect or return a product for repair, unless you have specifically paid for and selected the "Collect & Return" warranty option.
- This warranty applies to all Home and Garden products (excluding accessories and detergents) used for domestic use only and shall not apply to any products that have been used for commercial purposes.
There are some warranty exclusions that you do need to consider however;
The Kärcher Warranty is a cover against manufacturing errors or defective parts used in the construction of your Home & Garden range product. This Guarantee shall not apply to defects caused by:
- Misuse
- Neglect
- Accidental Damage
- Improper storage
- Installation or careless handling
- Frost damage or heat damage
- Alteration not carried out or authorised by Karcher approved supplier
- The use of incorrect supply voltage
- Contaminated water supply
- Unsuitable or unapproved chemical usage.
ATTENTION
A hose connector fitted with an Aquastop (Water Stop, Stop or similar) should NEVER be used on the water connection of the pressure washer as this WILL cause damage to the pump. The correct hose connector should have no parts in the middle of the connector and should actually just be an open tube.
If you have purchased a hose kit either with your pressure washer or you already own a hose kit, you can use an Aquastop connector supplied with it on the tap instead of the pressure washer.
When using a garden hose, it should be a traditional, fabric reinforced type with a hose diameter of at least 1/2 inch (13 mm). You should also ensure that the length of the hose is at least 7.5 m, and if on a hose reel, a length of at least 7.5 metres MUST be pulled off the hose reel to connect to the pressure washer.
It is vitally important to follow both of these pieces of advice to ensure the smooth running of your pressure washer and to prevent damage being caused by incorrect use that may not be covered under your warranty agreement.
Kärcher (UK) Limited or Karcher Center JHS shall not be liable in any event at any time for any indirect or consequential loss or damage. The rights and benefits under warranty are additional to your statutory rights which are not affected by this guarantee.
Warranty Repairs
Karcher Center JHS offers Kärcher Home & Garden customers a full Karcher backed warranty repair service on all Kärcher Home & Garden Range, covering material and manufacturing defects.
Karcher Center JHS can provide this valuable service even if you purchased your Kärcher Home & Garden Range machine from another vendor. If seeking to make a claim under your products warranty, and you didn't purchase it from Kärcher Center JHS, a valid proof of purchase must be provided. If your original receipt is not available, we can also accept a copy of a bank statement showing the transaction with the retailer you purchased it from (this excludes Ebay & Amazon Marketplace Sellers), if you paid by credit or debit card. If however, you purchased it from Kärcher Center JHS don't worry we will use your details from your original purchase, so we will provide the proof of purchase for you.
All repairs to Kärcher products within warranty are free of charge (subject to conditions of sale) except in the case of; misuse and abuse or frost damage, a collection and return charge may apply for those customers who are unable to bring their machine to us themselves.
More about warranty repairsAs of the 1st January 2024, Karcher have amended the warranty periods of the Karcher Home & Garden Pressure range in order to make these more concise and clear. Previously, warranty periods were based on the technology and features such as a hose reel. Warranties will now be consistent across an entire range rather than specific models within a range.
